Who Am I? A Word from Sue
I am a Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother, a Real Estate Sales Consultant, and I am me.
My career has spanned over 38 years and has brought me to the place I am at now.
I was born and bred in Melbourne, and at 17 I started working for an Engineering Firm as a junior company secretary, and it is here that I began my book keeping career and started using computers. This job for me was also life changing because I met my husband Will, who also worked for the same company and to whom I have been married for the past 33 years.
We relocated to Queensland in 1988 and settled in the Moreton Bay Area in 1991, living in Bellmere for 11 years, Narangba for a few, then relocating to Bribie Island where we have resided for the past 10 years. Will and I have raised our three boys here, and they all attended local schools in both St Michaels College and St Columban’s College and playing AFL for the local football clubs.
During the years of raising our boys, I commenced my own business The Décor Deli and Décor Linen which was positioned locally. I became involved with the local business community and BPW Caboolture which is the Business and Professional Women’s Association over the past 10 years. I have met many beautiful people and have made long lasting friendships both personally and professionally whilst living amongst this community for the past 23 years.
When I sold my business I started a new career with Pacific Brands representing Tontine and Sheridan as Queensland and Northern Territory Account Manager, and during this time I travelled extensively across the State and Territory. However, with a new first grand baby coming along I decided I no longer wanted to travel as every second Monday I was jumping on a plane to go somewhere.
And here I am now, absolutely thriving and loving my career as a Sales Consultant with Richardson & Wrench Real Estate. This is all about connecting people with their new home, listening to sellers and buyers needs and bringing together winning outcomes for both parties. And the best people to work for are Robyn and Peter Lachmund and the Lachmund family, who have built a solid reputation, having been established in business for over 20 years at our current address 87 Morayfield Road, Caboolture.
- My favourite place for lunch is the Coffee Club at Central Lakes, and dinner at the Beachmere Tavern
- My favourite shop in Caboolture is Pillowtalk
- My favourite place to sit and enjoy some of the day is Centenary Lakes and Beachmere Waterfront
I love the Moreton Bay Region and the fact that working in Caboolture, I am just 20 minutes to the water and 10 minutes to the hills. Look out for me on the weekends, kayaking on the Pumicestone Passage or boating attempting to catch dinner.. I love to fish but I also love to put them back and let them live another day.
